AMB Stuttgart 2026

BIMATEC SORALUCE presents itself live at AMB 2026:

The SORALUCE TRM35 multitask bed milling machine from the Productivity Line

At AMB 2026, Bimatec Soraluce will present a machine from its Productivity Line this year and demonstrate how customized projects can be realized using, among other things, automation and multitasking solutions.

The machine builder’s portfolio includes complex, tailor-made manufacturing solutions ranging from standard machines to highly customized systems with automation. Its milling, turning, and grinding machines for large-part machining are leaders in cutting technology. The company is also a pioneer in developing new technologies for efficient and optimized processes.

Close customer relationships are also reflected in the development of the multitasking line introduced by Bimatec Soraluce. The focus is on machine concepts that offer maximum flexibility in machining. The challenge lies in technically complex workpieces with tight tolerances that require multiple processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and threading. This results in extremely high machining accuracy and premium-quality workpieces, significantly reduced setup times, lower space requirements, reduced staffing needs, and further cost advantages due to fewer tools, clamping devices, and fixtures being required.

  • As part of our premium solutions, the bed milling machines of the Productivity Line deliver high metal removal rates during roughing and high precision during finishing of large and highly complex workpieces.
  • Soraluce multitask machines enable milling, turning, grinding, and gear cutting on a single machine. This increases versatility and ensures maximum efficiency.

SORALUCE TRM multitask bed milling

A standout feature of the SORALUCE TRM multitask bed milling machine is the continuously stepless T-type milling head with a 37 kW drive and a speed range of up to 6,000 rpm. Thanks to the T-function, the milling head transforms into a powerful multifunction head for milling, turning, and grinding—using the same tool interface. This enables automatic tool changes between milling and turning tools via a standard tool changer. Additionally, the main spindle is clamped during turning operations to prevent play and increase stability.

Trade fair visitors can expect a machine equipped with the following features:

  • Longitudinal traverse (X): 3,500 mm | Vertical traverse (Z): 1,600 mm |
    Cross traverse (Y): 1,300 mm
  • HEIDENHAIN TNC7
  • Automatic Indexing Stepless head with Anti-rotation clutch of rotating spindle, 6,000 rpm
  • Automatic tool changer with 60 tool pockets with access to the tool changer magazine with machine on cycle
  • DAS+ (patented) Dynamics Active Stabilizer system
  • Soraluce Adaptive Control
  • Accura Heads: Automatic head calibration system
  • Two swarf conveyors including Chip breaker
  • Splash guarding against projections all around the table, upper side is closed with a roof
  • 2 Self-cleaning spinning Windows devices located in two of the Windows of the splash guarding system
  • Dust extraction
  • HD Camera to control the working area
  • Table load capacity 8,000 kg / Milling 2,000 kg / Turning and Grinding
  • Integrated milling & turning table Ø 1,600 mm (400 rpm / 81 kW / 3,500 Nm)
  • Compact design for installation without a separate foundation

Smart Automation

Responding to growing demand for efficient, flexible production in complex, multi-reference environments, Soraluce presents its Smart Automated Solutions, developed to optimize productivity and reduce unproductive time across the entire manufacturing process.

Automation at this level goes beyond standard solutions. The firm’s systems are designed to accommodate large-scale components with tailored configurations adaptable to different part types and batch sizes. From single machines with CNC-integrated pallet control to advanced flexible cells coordinated by industrial PCs, every solution is customized for efficiency and real-world application.

The manufacturer’s palletizing systems stand out—engineered around the principles of precision, modularity, and adaptability. These systems streamline workflows, reduce changeover durations, and significantly boost overall plant productivity.

Further enhancing production agility, Soraluce have implemented centralized tool storage systems, operating in full integration with our proprietary tool management software. This interconnected setup enables shared tool access between machines, eliminates selection errors, reduces the need for duplicate tooling, and minimizes the space required for storage infrastructure. All tool automation processes are data-driven—guided by real-time production orders, delivery schedules, and tool availability—ensuring just-in-time manufacturing.

Driving this automation ecosystem is the Control System, a powerful software platform developed in-house by Soraluce Software Factory. Based on the innovative Job List concept, it provides complete integration of all manufacturing flow components: machines, parts, pallets, tools, CNC programs, fixtures, and operations. This unified system orchestrates the entire cell, maximizing productivity while enabling full traceability, process transparency, and seamless operation across every level of the production environment.

The company is part of the Danobatgroup, the machine tool division of the Mondragon Corporation, one of Europe’s largest corporate groups. The group operates its own research and development center, which has been in operation for more than 30 years and employs 120 engineers and 29 staff members with doctoral degrees. The Danobat Group offers one of the most comprehensive and competitive multi-technology machine portfolios on the market. It employs 1,300 people and generates revenue of 260 million euros. It places a special emphasis on innovation and invests approximately 8% of its revenue in research and development.

“For several years now, we have observed the steady decline in production capacity in Germany, but as a company, we cannot change the prevailing conditions of high energy prices, high unit labor costs, and overregulation.

With this knowledge and our more than 35 years of market experience, we have expanded our portfolio in recent years to offer our customers system solutions that, despite the aforementioned conditions, enable cost-effective and globally competitive production in Germany.

It is only through this realignment and the courage to embrace change that we have been able to increase our market share in recent years and report record order intake even during the now protracted economic crisis. We view this trust from our customers as a reward for our innovative strength.”

Thilo Borbonus, Managing Director / Shareholder Bimatec Soraluce
