New Dynamic Line: Step into Precision & Dynamics with the New Soraluce High Rail Gantry Machines

Soraluce will present, in a world premiere, the release of its revolutionary Dynamic Line, which includes the new high rail gantry machines. These innovative machines epitomize precision, dynamics, and efficiency, poised to revolutionize manufacturing processes across diverse industries.

The High Rail Gantry Machines from Soraluce are designed to deliver unprecedented performance in the manufacture of complex, high-precision components. Offering high cutting capacity at high speed and high chip flow rates, these machines deliver exceptional accuracies and are backed by Soraluce’s extensive experience in the milling industry and proven leading-edge technology.

The Dynamic Line comprises three machine models tailored to applications in sectors such as aerospace, mold & die, and mechanical engineering, with solutions designed for specific materials like composites, light alloys, and steel-based components.

Tailored to suit the specific needs of diverse sectors and applications, these machines can be outfitted with either 5-axis contouring fork-type or high-torque milling heads. This versatility ensures seamless handling of intricate and complex shapes.

Additionally, they feature a comprehensive splash guarding system to uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the working environment.

Moreover, incorporating diverse dust extraction systems, both within the enclosure and integrated into the heads, facilitates the removal of dust and debris generated during machining processes, thereby maintaining optimal cleanliness throughout operations. This aspect is crucial from the point of view of protecting the health of the operators (it avoids the inhalation of toxic fumes) and also favors the cleanliness of the work area.

Key features of the High Rail Gantry Machines include:

/ Unparalleled efficiency with the High Dynamics feature of the Dynamic Line with groundbreaking high-speed cutting capabilities. With axes speeds reaching up to an impressive 60,000 mm/min and accelerations soaring to 4 m/s², these machines are engineered to push the boundaries of productivity.

/ Innovative 5-axis contouring heads, boasting speeds of up to 30,000 rpm. It’s not just about moving fast; it’s about moving precisely and with finesse. With these heads, intricate designs and complex geometries are achievable. Whether you’re sculpting the perfect aerospace component or executing intricate mold & die machining, semi-finishing and finishing in steel or aluminum, the High Dynamics feature ensures that your machining operations are executed with unmatched precision and efficiency.

/ At the heart of the cutting capability are our high-powered mechanical cutting heads, designed to deliver unrivaled power of up to 60 kW. This extraordinary power ensures optimum performance, allowing users to tackle even the most demanding cutting tasks with ease and precision. Our solution offers a wide range of these mechanical heads, including high-torque 5-axis contouring (up to 2,000 Nm). This versatility allows users to perform complex machining operations with unprecedented precision, enabling them to address the current and future challenges of a wide range of applications in various industries.

/ Dynamic Line deliveries the finest surface quality for your most demanding work. In the realm of precision engineering, every detail matters, and achieving impeccable surface finishes is paramount. With the Dynamic Line, excellence isn’t just a goal—it’s a guarantee.

/ One of the cornerstones of this commitment is thermal stability, ensuring that performance remains consistent even in the face of fluctuating temperatures and rigorous machining tasks. This stability is more than just a feature; it’s a testament to the meticulous engineering that underpins every aspect of the Dynamic Line. It is also key to being able to ensure long-lasting machining at high speeds without compromising finish quality and performance, delivering consistent results time after time.

During Soraluce Summit, visitors will be able to see and test in situ two of the new models of the Dynamic Line range.

On the one hand, we will have the SORALUCE HGA high rail gantry milling machine providing the solution for machining large composite or aluminum structures for the aerospace industry, including specific features that maximize process performance.

The HGA shown in particular is a high work-volume oriented machine suited for the application of aircraft fuselage structures undergoing trimming and drilling operations in composite materials. It incorporates two working areas to work pendulum, dust extraction integrated in the head with axial movement depending on the length of the tool, table with vacuum plate system of 10,000 x 3,500 mm for integration of different fixtures in different positions, as well as a single tool magazine that feeds both working areas by means of two changing arms and perimeter enclosure.

The machine has a longitudinal traverse of 10,000 mm, vertical of 1,600 mm, cross of 4,000 mm, with a 20 kW fork head at 20,000 rpm.

On the other hand, we will also present the SORALUCE HGR high crossbeam gantry milling machine, the most versatile model in the range, as it allows a great deal of customization and configurability thanks to a wide range of heads and axis travels.

It is the perfect solution for high-speed machining without sacrificing rigidity or cutting capacity. It is ideal for machining large molds and dies, stainless steel parts or for general machining.

The HGR shown is focused on machining large molds and dies. The machine features a 4,500 mm longitudinal traverse, 1,500 mm vertical, 4,500 mm cross, with a 37 kW, 7,000 rpm, 900 Nm 5-axis mechanical head. It also includes a 4,500 x 4,000 floor plate, full enclosure with bellows-type roof and incorporates the patented DAS smart damping system.
